An Inhuman Father and Wife E&ater J a Defiance County Who Is-Arousing the Just IndBgna. Mon of the- Neighbors. Our correspondent from Hannover tells of a harrowing tale of an inhuman father and wife slugger who has his abode just over, the line in Defiance county. We have investigated the matter aad find that the correspondent submits the faots with no unnecessary coloring. He says substantially: This brate belongs to that class of fanners whom we might call well-to-do when, taken from a pomtiofivieva relative to this world's goods, bat in- charity and humanity he is a beggar. He has a' young-wife who is a willing worker but who like as all, cannot gcbeyond human endurance.. The husband (whose name we will not mention at present) treats his horses with great consideration, but treats her worse than the most hated dog. He has- ber in complete subjugation and has placedia yoke around hepneck that it is certainly marvel ous has not already broken her fragile back, She has-the housework and Darn.' work to do. Not content with making her do-this, he compels heo to-aesjst him in the field. Last week he ordered her to follow him to the field' and aelu load hay. She demum-ed as the baby, but a few weeks old, was-sick and) the housework undone. The brute became cntzy mad and following ber to theeellarhe gave her a terrible thrashing- causias the blood to flow, blacking her eyes, rendering ber in a semi-oonsoious condition, He lelt her with her body literally covered with, hlaek and blue spot. The little babs is at the present but four weeks old and th mother from oruel -treatment not able to give it care. The correspondent claims that the brate indirectly killed his first wife by the same inhuman abuse and how he inveigled anoth er woman into bis slaughter pen is a mys tery. '.'.. ' ' He also used the lash on his 8 year old daughter by his first wife. He compels the little tot to do almost a man's work in the field and when fatigue in the least degree causes her to lag, he springs from the ma chine, where his work is mere play, and in humanly beats her? Words are inadequate to delineate this wretch's character. But let us issue this prop jsition: That if his devilsh work is not stopped at once, tseps will be taken to make him me the day that he ever atttinpted to plaoe woman be low the brate or eation.
