Speak, of the firm of Cox k Spear, closed his office and left for New Orleans, hav ing received advantageous propositions to go into business there. Mr7. While we regret hU departure from our midst, we sincerely wish trim abundant success in hie new lo-Cition. The Draft. Inquiries are dsily made, as to the time the draft will take place. Provost Mar shal Cad well had received orders to le ready to draft by the 10th inst., and up to yesteiday morning, had received no contrary orders accordingly, he U get ting ready, and red tickets by thousands are prepared, some of which, we doubt not. will secure to the names on them, a suit of new clothes and a good gun. Congress has passed a' joint resolution extending the payment of bounties to the 1st of April, which we think in effect, postpone the draft. In the meantime, it would be well for all townships knowing themselves short, to bestir themselves. Soldiers' Festival In Johnston.
