discussion of the growing cigarette
evld showed that a strong sentiment
against It Is being roused at the pres
ent time and It is hoped that the youth
of our land will 60on be thoioughly
educated in regard to its evils Four

theory Is that he had not reached the
stop Just a little east of his home
when the car came and he stepped
out on the track to try to flag it but
failed The remains were taken to
Salem and were badly mangled He
is survived by his wife and four child
ren The funeral was held at the
home of his son Dr Leo W Atkinson
in Salem Wednesday afternoon
