"The Cleveland Ilcpubllcan organ lias bcon misled when It states that almost every Ger man paper In the state, with the ex ception of the Cleveland Wachter and Anzlcger, has forsaken Tom L. John son," said Louis Seybold, editor of tho Gormanla today. "It probably gets Its Information from John Reich, publisher of the Cleveland Herald, a Gorman society paper," continued Mr. Seybold. "Reich has been publishing remarks lately that the German papers are not sup porting Johnson, but Reich evidently has an ulterior object In view." He then mentioned the German papers of Cincinnati, Mansfield, Youngstown, Defiance, Springfield, New Philadel phia, Tlflln, Napoleon, Fremont, Mar Ion, Ducyrus, Columbus, Lima, Mar lcttn and Newark that are supporting Johnson and not fighting him.
