announcement of the free Cooking
school which the Reflector will con
duct for their benefit beginning April
1, and lasting two days. In tonight's

be exchanged for a season ticket at
the Reflector office. There Is abso

attend, the entire expense being met

ing school will be of great educa-

son, Democrat, was elected mayor of
Chicago tor the fifth time. His plur
ality was 17,082 votes. A final count
of the 1,324 precincts give Harrison
177,358, and Merrlam. his Republican
opponent, 160,276. Rodriguez, the So
cialist candidate, received 22,394
votes. . :. "' ,
Topeka, April 5 T. A. McNeal prob
ably will be mayor of Topeka for the
next two years. With a little more
than one-third of the votes counted,
McNeal had a lead of 160 over J. B.
BUlard, the present Incumbent. The
vote counted gave McNeal 3,015 and
BUlard 2,854..
Wichita, Kan., April 5. Socialism
as an Issue was repudiated by Wich
ita voters when John H. Graham and
the Independent commission ticket
were elected by large majorities. Gra
ham's majority ever Al H. Blase, his
shoemaker rival, Is estimated at from
1,600 to 1,000, while all of the inde
pendent candidates for commissioners
were elected by majorities of more
than 2,500. Graham was nominated
on a strict law enforcement platform,
and it is stated that the new adminis
tration will close Wichita Joints.
Kansas City, Kan., April 5-rRetums
from 17 of the 61 precincts show J. EL
Porter is in the lead for mayor by
422 votes. The Porter organization Is
claiming the election by 1,200. The
precincts are in scattered parts of
the city. ,
Warransburg, Mo, April 6. In the
election the entire Democratic ticket
wu elected bv malorities from 120 to
200. The ticket Is as follows: Mayor
C. A. Harrison; collector, S. H. cole
man; attorney, W. C. McDonald; po
lice judge, John W. McFarland. .
Parsons, Kan., April 6. C. H. Stew
art, the first mayor under the commis
sion form of government in Parsons,
was re-elected mayor. Dr. Gabriel, the
other nominee, withdrawing after the
primaries. H. C. Larson la the only
member of the commission re-elected.
Joplln, Mo., April 6. With the ex
ceptlon of three councllmen and the
police Judge, the Democrats made a
clean sweep in the city election here,
regaining control of the city govern
ment which they lost two years ago,
