It was or dered that each camp send three dele gates to a convention in Kinsley May 11 to make all the necessary arrange ments, after which the meeting ad journed. Last Friday night just after the dance "lit r the opera house Marshall Gurtiss was overhauled by a youag fellow, very much excited, who said that he had been held up near the de pot by a couple of men. He said they stepped into view suddenly and de manded a match. That scared him and he lit out. No blood shed. He and 'another young fellow had been taking orders for a grocery house and that they drove into town and put up their team; his partner left him and could not be found. After investigat ing the marshall concluded that the chap who had disappeared simply got tired of his partner and gave him the slip.
