TALLMAN, For Btate Auditor, HON. E. P. M'CABE, Of Graham County. Gentle reader, when you have fas-l fened your expanding optics upon | this paper “and > brought yourself to realizé “the fact that " Nicodemus 'fias a paper of her own, to advocate er interests and the inteacsts of the pwroungding country, with a few lines to devote to the good of humanity generally, precipitate your hands into the depths of your pockets, fasten upon a dollar and then strike a “b” line for the CygLONE office, where we will be glad tp weleome you as a visitor and reliecve you of said collateral, as a matter of business. Come and see us anyway, whether you have any busi ness with us or not, It always does us good to look an honest man in the face, and as we have no mirror, calls are in order. | Last Friday we visited the thriving little city of Nicodemus in company with Homer Boylan and A. G Tallman. Nicodemns is located in the garden of trraham county and the surrounding inhabitants are industrious, so we see no reason why Nicodemus will not make one of the best towns in the coun ty. Westopped for the night with that &yjpc{; of good fellows and one of the most p,roéfni_nent politicians in Graham eounty, Z. T, Fletcher, proprietor of the St. 'Fran, cis‘ Hotel, where we were treated royally, Nicodemus has three gfaores, a blacksmith shop, one hotel, one [iveyy stable, two implement deal ers and wilk soon have a newspaper, the tfype and material already being Jocated in the town. Nicodemus is bound to make g good town.—Webster Eagte. Political economists seem to have an abundance of food for thought at the present time. With the finance guestion, the labor problem, the land puzzle, the prohibition query, the woman suffrage enigma, and a host of Uside-show” issues to figure out, they peed have no fears of any lack of em ployment for some time to come, The war of the revolution was to rid this country of British rule. The struggle of the present day is to do away with the idea of Knglish customs in America. Itis the same old story of two great clements at variance; the one, seeking supremacy; the other, struggling for the Rights ef Common People. The CycLoNE takes pleasure in en dorsing Hon. E. P. McCabe’s re-election as Auditor of State. Mr. McCabe has most excellently discharged the duties of his office and enjoys the confidence of the entire people of the State to such an extent that nothing but political trickery could defeat his nomination. The Republinan Congressional con vention for this District is called to meet at Stockton July 14. The Republican state committee has called the State convention for July 7, wt Topeka. ! Tall man as editor and publisher.—Eagle, We are under many obligations to the citizens of Nicodemus, for the fa vors shown us while starting this pa perrand we will try and give you one of the best papers in the county in return for your appreciated kindness, Nicodemus has no whisky shop; no billiard hall or other gambling hole; its citizens are a moral, refined people; no drunkenness or rowdyism, no curs ing or whooping disturbs the peace of the place. Irom there she goes to Omaha to visit her brother, after which she is to return to Graham, the banner county of Kansas. Nicodemus is located in the midst of one of the finest countries in the state, looking from the town you can see for miles. The country is so lev el that you can see what you neigh bors are doing in the next township. If there is a paradise on earth, it cer tainly is here. This week we will send several hundred sample copies of the CycLoNE to our friends in Graham and Rooks counties, hoping they will like it and subscribe.
