Car!i,bad, N. M., and nephew of the
late liurke Hurnett, a wealthy stock
man of Fort Worth, Tex., was found
dead at, 2 o'clock this morning with
a Lullet nolo through the temple.
Death hud apparently been Instan
taneous and while it may have been
tho result of an accident, the case Is
apparently a clear one of self-destruction.
Th.' motive for the suicide,
however, in baffling as Hurnett had
apparently- been in good health and
spirits. Ho was returning home from
a private dancing parly which had
occurred at the home of Mr. Nichols,
of Carlsbad.
Another r port says: Hurnett was
killed by ' The accidental discharge
of a t-K-shooter lio was hand
ling, the' bullet entering the temple.
He leaves a widow and two children.
