AMUSEMENTS.
M-VICKER’S THEATRE.
TJtUe Lotla amused a large audionoe last night
by her aprigbtly acting Ju “Musette.” The flay Ima
no great nieriUo itself. It Is merely used to baug

purpose in its humbto way. The plot is the hackneyed
one of an heir kept out of his own by a scheming rela

•orvlccs of bis friends. Put tho absolute dullness of
the story Is relieved by A side-plot, or diver

den of tbo piece upon her dimiuutlvu shoulders. For
a display of pure unlmal spirits there is nothing on
tbo stage to equal her. It Is merely Iter cunning wars
and iKirt manner that make bur successful. Hho la not
a good singer, nor a remarkable dancer, certainly not
an octrees of much power; hut ehe has pretty tricks
that people like to see, and it la no wonder that she is
sucb a popular favorite. Tbs performance is one that
nobody need ba aabsmed to enjoy. Thosong conduct
