Harmala of the Dixon public schools announced this week ■that the Dixon High school student council will sponsor Dixon's annual St. Pat’s dance on Saturday, March 17, at the Dixon high school gym. Sister Mary Ann, bookkeep er at the Holy hospital left on Monday for a two-week’s re treat in that city. The Legion basketball team will meet the Harlem Globe Trotteretts, a New York pro girl.-; team, in the high school gym here this Friday night. Manager W. J. Phillips of the Legion club announced this week that there will be another party at the club rooms this Saturday night, with refreshments and danc ing. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Weg ner, who formerly operated the Jake Nuse farm near Post creek, have moved to Ronan where he has taken a position with the state highway. Gardipe attended the district 14 tournament in Mis soula. 1 Percy (Bud) Zumwalt un derwent surgery at the Holy ,Family hospital last week and Iwas able to go home Monday 'of this week. The Legion and Auxiliary met in regular session Thurs day night. The Auxiliary in itiated a class of about 15, bringing their membership up to about 45. The Mission Rangers will met this Thursday night at 'the home of Mr. and Mrs. Merle Miller. Mr. and Mrs. jHarold Kent will be the host and hostess. Mrs. Lena Sinclair, who was a patient at the Holy Family hospital for about two weeks while receiving treatment for a lung ailment, was discharg ed about the middle of last week. Joe Redhorn of Ronan was admitted to the Holy Family hospital on Friday of last week. It was stated that he was kicked in the chest by another man, and that X-ray pictures would have to be tak en. Mrs. Dan Lesh of Great Falls arrived last Thursday to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Ross, and assist in caring for her mother who has been quite ill. She is now convalescing nicely. James Laßocque, 11-year old st’n grade boy at the Villa Ursula school, was treated at the Holy Family hospital last week as a result of getting an arm caught in a mangle at the school laundry. His hand and arm were bruised and a bone broken in the elbow. County Treasurer Jerry Paul, who began his duties on the first of March, called The POST this week to report that a new stock of license plates has arrived at his office and car owners may now get them there. The St. Ignatius Woman’s club is scheduled for a busi ness meeting this Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Maude Buckhouse. Those who were delegates to a recent meeting of the Lake County Federation of Womens clubs will give a report. Robert Adams, 12-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Adams of Charlo, was treated at the Holy Family hospital for a fractured ankle. The fracture occured when an automobile hit the rear end of a pickup truck in which Robert, his brother and .two were riding, according to re ports. The Merry Bluebirds met after school Wednesday to practice the heel and toe polka which was one of the pro gram numbers at the Blue bird mother-daughter ban quet in Missoula this week. Cathy Smith was hostess for the afternoon.' The Mission Falls 4-H club met at the Art Detert home last Thursday, with 13 n em bers and 20 visitors. One of the urogram features was the showing of films on Montana by Bill Kober. The next meet ing of the club will be on April sth at the Bill Johns home. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Fisher of the Post Creek district are new hands on the local ranch properties of the Sisters of Charity of Providence.
