Page 4 YOUR FRIENDS MO OURS Mrs. Jack Currie has been spend ing much time in Missoula lately an account of the serious illness of both her aunt and uncle. Word from Mr. and Mrs. Pat Smith is that they have moved from Glendale, Calif., to Azusa, Calif. Their street address is 18349 Nearfield St. No further word is given about the former St. Ignat ius people. Mrs. Maude Carr was admit ted to the local hospital recently, and her son, Floyd Carr, was call ed to take care of her property and other business.. Mr. Carr is located at Salem, Oregon. Albert Paul, owner of the Paul Mercantile at Dixon, was a busi ness caller in St. Ignatius Monday. He reported that tickets are sell ing well for the raffle of a buffalo hind quarter by the Dixon Lions Club. A burning chimney in the form >er Virginia West house adjacent to the Reclamation headquarters caused a fire alarm Wednesday afternoon of last week. No dam age of consequence resulatd. Ly man (Luk?) Trahan now owns the property. • Mrs. Velma Qvale, local teacher, went to Great Falls during the weekend where she attended a Class Room Teachers conference, returning home Sunday evening. Mrs. .Kvale, who drove over with a lady from Missoula, reports hav ing had breakfast with Mrs. John Ross at Lincoln enroute over. Mrs. Ross was for several years in charge of the school hot lunch room in St. Ignatius, and Mr. Ross was maintenance engineer. They now operate a case at Lin coln. SONGFEST WAS ENJOYABLE EVENT HERE LAT SUNDAY Th.? community sing at the St. Ignatius Christian church last Sunday was very popular and well attended. Ronan and Polson were represented in the congregation. • Some new singers in the com wi unity were noted, among them Dr. Jack Robertson. Of outstand ing Quality, was a trumpet rendi tion of “The Old Rugged Cross 7 ’ by Miss Anita Knopp. Mrs. Rob ert Larsson was at the piano. The next community sing will be held at the Christian church in Ronan.
