The Hobby chib met at the Agency Monday, April 24, when Miss Ljllian Tubb, Ixike and Sanders county Home Demon stration agent, gave a demon stration on “How to Get the Most from Your Sewing Ma chine.” Mrs Lew Ayers and Mrs Don Grazier served lunch. Saturday overnight guests of Mrs Esther McCarthy were her two granddaughters, Lois Du montier and Delores Stasso, and three friends, all of Spokane. The visitors explained the regu lations governing the society. Tapped from the local high school were: Seniors—Kay Ha mel, Candace Cook, David Strong and Betty Violette; Ju niors — Clar - ' Toczek, Ronnie Phillips. Beverly Hogge and Gretchen Cotrell. YOUTH DANCE HELD FRIDAY A large number of teenagers enjoyed a dance at the LDS rec reation hall Friday night. Mu sic was furnished by recoixls. Several boys and girls came from Dixon and Charlo for the event. Doughnuts and punch were served. The hall was dec corated in blue and silver. Mrs Ed Allen Mission News Notes Surprise visitors at the home of Mrs Ruby Anderson Monday were her nephew and his wife, Mr and Mrs Melvin Hanson and daughter, of Shelly, Idaho. They were returning from Washing ton, where they visited a grand son, who was ill. The Hansons also visited Mr and Mrs Orval Anderson, Mr and Mrs Law rence Anderson and Mr and Mrs Dale Anderson. Mr and Mrs Mark Stephens of Stevensville were guests of Mr and Mrs Everet Stephens re cently. The two men are broth ers. Mrs Clark Griffiths left Fri day for Las Vegas and Hender son, Nevada, to visit her moth er and other relatives for two weeks. Mr and Mrs Oreon A. Jones and family, Dale Courchane SEWING DEMONSTRATION Mrs Curt Duncan, Mrs Edwin Linderman and Mrs Joe Mahe demonstrated making aprons, putting in zippers and the sev eral kinds of machine stitches at an all-day meeting at the Duncan home last Friday, April 21. Mrs T. J. Perkins, Mrs Helen Geis and Mrs Frank McNussen made aprons. DeMolays leave today for conclave Seven members of the Robert Needham chapter, Order of De- Molay, are planning to attend the DeMolay conclave in Great Falls this week end. They will leave at noon today, accompan ied by George White sr., De- Molay Dad. Winners of the Scottish Rite essay contest will be announced at the conclave. David Rorvik of Ronan was the district win ner and is entered in the state contest. Planning to attend are: Clif ford Crump, Chevalier delegate and state orator; Franklin Lundvall, Gerald Johnson, Joe Cernik, Clarence Taber, Marvin Taber and Duncan Crump who will join the group in Missoula.
