City Executive Extends a Cordial lu« vltatlon to Montana State Frees Association—Latch String is Out—Good Tims Guaranteed. Mayor W. H. Davey has performed an act of courtesy which should en dear him to the newspaper men of the state. Today he issued a cordial in vitation to the members of the Mon tana Press association to meet in the city of Butte this year and pledged the good faith of the greatest mining camp otf earth to give the pencil push ers of Montana a good time while so journing within the gates of Butte, Bays the Butte Inter Mountain of June 21st. Last years meeting of the Press as sociation was not % success. The members were called to meet at Kalis pel and only a few journeyed thither. The officers of the organization were located in various parts of the state, seldom met each other, and as a result' tbe organization lacked coherency and gradually fell into a moribund con dition from which its more enthusi astic members vainly attempted to rouse it. Miles Romney of Hamilton is now the president, having succeeded to that position at the death of George Alderson of Livingston. The secre tary of the Association is Walter Ait kin. The latter and President Rom ney are at the present time casting about for a suitable meeting place, and it wonld seem the preferred hos pitality by the mayor of Butte settles the question of a meeting place. THE INVITATION EXTENDED. The invitation of the mayor is ad dressed to the Montana Press associa tion, and is as follows: Montana State Press Association —Gentlemen: I have been informed that a meeting of the editors and news paper workers of the state of Montana is to be càlled soon, and that among other cities considered favorably as a meeting place is the city of Butte. In behalf of the city of Butie, the municipal government, the business men and citizens generally, I hereby extend you a cordial invitation to come to this city, assuring you of the hcs pitable reception, the best of accom modations and the facilities for hold ing your convention, as well as a per sonal guarantee of a good time gener ally, with the latch string always out to the fraternity and its friends. The letter is signed by Mayor Davey and bears the seal of the city of Butte. SCIENCE SCORES AGAIN. A Preparation That Will Destroy the Dandruff Germ Discovered. Finally the scientific student has discovered a certain remedy for dand ruff. When it first became known that dandruff is tbe result of a germ or parasite that digs into the scalp, and saps the vitality of hair at the root, causing falling hair and bald ness, biologists set to work to discover some preparation that would kill the germ. After a year's labor in one laboratory, the dandruff germ des troyer was discovered; and it is now embodied in Newbro's Herpicide, which -■ besides curing baldness, and thinning hair, speedily and perma nently eradicate dandruff.
