Petition presented for establishment
of road district and appointment of road
supervisor for Swift Current. Laid over
to September meeting to await informa
tion from Secretary of the Interior
relative to jurisdiction of county com
missioners in road matters on forest re
serves.
County clerk was authorized to em
ploy a deputy for months of July and
August, at a salary of £75 per month.

members present.
Ordered that contract be made with
Dr. W H Stearns, for medical atten
dance of county poor, inmates of jail,
etc., for the sum of 8-iOD, including small
(pox eases. Bond to be furnished in sum
of $300.
Bid of C H Drake, for medicines for
county poor for remainder of year end
ing December 31,1900, for $100 was ac
cepted, and contract ordered made, with
bond in sum of $200.
Report of M D Cooper, C (1 Monkman
and J W Shields, viewers of proposed
road beginning at a point on Choteau
and Dupuyer road 80 rods south of the
line between sections 5. 8, G and 7 town
ship 25 north range 5 west, thence due
west to the west line of s-ection 9 town
ship 25 north, range G west, thence west
and southwest to intersection of Chotea u
and mountain road near Teton canyon,
was accepted, and road ordered surveyed
and opened. C G I»Ionkman agrees to
give free right of way through his land,
and J G lïalstou is allowed 37.50 for
light of way, a warrant for which shall
be issued on road fund on presentation
of right of way deed.
Some other reports of viewers were
laid over t > September meeting.
Dr W H Stearns presented contract
for medical attendance, accompanied
by bond in slim of eight hundred dollars,
with Wm Miller and J G Bair as sureties.
Bond approved and contract signed.
Treasurer's list of licenses issued was
compared with stubs of license bocks
and found correct.
Cash in hands of treasurer was then
counted and found correct, correspond
ing with oalance on report 16,381.72.
Report of H F England, county treas
urer, for quarter ending May 31, 1900,
was approved and ordered tiled.
Remaining claims against county were
then audited and warrants ordered for
those allowed.
Claim of Tlios P Hurley, sixty dollars,
for 50c per diem additional for services
as jail watchman and previously dis
allowed, was again disallowed.
Ordered that from and after this date,
special deputy sheriffs shall be paid at
the rate of 2. 50 per diem.
C H Drake presented contract for
medicines, accompanied by bond in 3um
of two hundred dollars, with A O Long
muir nnd S L Mitchell as sureties.
Bond approved and contract signed.
Application of H F England, county
treasurer, for permission to leave the
state for a period not to exceed sixty
days, was granted.
Board then audited accounts of its
members, and ordered warrants ordered
in payment of claims.
Board then adjourned the regular
June session sine die.
