"Foster and the clerk. Minutes of the regular March meeting iftere read and approved. Board proceeded to examine reports of county and township officers for the quarter ending May 31, 1901. The fol lowing were approved and ordered filed: A. C. Warner, county clerk. Report warrants issued in payment salaries of county officers, amounting to $2,437. 13 on contingent fund, and $1,495.00 on general fund; also warrant issued to H. K. Ferris for one carload of coal for jail o'-D.OO on general fund. A. C. Warner, county clerk. Report of official fees collected, amounting to $401.15 with.treasurer',-» receipt for same. Sterling McDonald, clerk district court. Report of official fees collected and turned over to treasurer, amounting to $142.60. Sterling McDonald, clerk district court. SECOND iDAY. June 4,1901. Board mat at 10 a. m., all members present. Treasurer's list of licensss issued, amounting to $3,752.25 was then com pared with stubs of license books and found correct. Report of James Sulgrove, county at torney, was examined, approved and or dered filed. Board then appointed Charles F. Green as public administrator, vice J. H. Dunlap, deceased; and Thos. B. Ma gee, coroner, vice W. H. Titus, deceased, and ordered that they each furnish bond in the sum of eight thousand dol lars. Adjourned to p. m. AFTERNOON SESSION. Board reassembled at 2 p m, all mem bers present. Cash in hands of treasurer, in cur rency, checks and bank stateme'nt, was then counted and found aorrect, corres pounding with balances, and treasurer's report was approved and ordered filed. Report of G. W> Walker, justice of the peace, Marias township, was examined, [ approved and. warrant ordered for costs incurred.. Final reports of the several road su pervisors were then examiued and ap proved and warrants were ordered for expenses incurred. Bid of James Rivers, for painting Du puyer jail, for $30.00, was opened and contract awarded him, he being the only bidder. Board then proceeded to consider road petitions presented, as follows: Petition for a road beginning at Du puver and running thence to the Marias bridge. Walter Mathews, E. E. Leech and Win. Cowgill were appointed as viewers. Petition for a road beginning at south east corner sec 29, tp 29 n, range 7 w, on Steell's ranch and Dupuyer road, north and northeasterly to a point on same road. vValter Mathews, E. E. Leech and Wei Cowgill were appointed viewers. Petition for road beginning at quarter section corner one-fourth mile west of center of section 17, tp 29 n, r7 w, the/ice northwesterly and north t» old road. Walter Mathews, E. E. Leech and F. D. Kingsbury were appointed viewers. The following were laid over: Petition for a road beginning at center of west lines of section 6, tp 27 n r 8 w, thence south 2% miles. Petition for road beginning at Cho teau and Collins road at northeast cor ner of section 7, tp 24 n, r t w, thence due south about mile. Petition for road beginning at Choteau and Collins road at northeast corner section 7, .tp 24 n, r 4 w, thence du« north two miles. Adjurnad to 10 a m. June 5. THIRD DAY. June 5,1901. Board met at 1.0 a m, all members present, and adjourned to 2 p m, in order to enable it to meet as a Board of Health. AFTERNOON SJ3SÉHON. Board reassembled at 2 p m, all mem bers present, and proceeded to audit claims against county. Warrants were ordered in payment of those allowed. Adjourned to 10- a. m J,uue Cv FOURTH DAY. June 0,1901. Board met at 10 a m, all members present and resumed busi ness of auditing claims against county. Warrants were ordered in payment of those allowed. War rants were ord<*ed in payment of those allowed. The following claims were disallowed as not properly chargeable to Tetoa county: J M Wilcox, for board of pris ners, $3.83; T J Moore sarvice special jailer, $90. Petition was presented for a road' beginning at corner stone common to sections 20,21, 28 and 29, tp 25 n, r 4 w, thence north one-half mile. Waiter Mathews, W W Gamble and W H Franklin were appointed viewers. Petition was presented for a road 60 feet wide off the sonth end of tract No 15, Truchot Gardens, and the discon tinuance of alley 20 feet wide between tracts 13 and 14 of said Gardens. Walter Mathew, J E Webb and Ed Hirshberg were appointed viewers. Adjourned to 10 a m, June 7. fifth DAY. June 7,1901.—Board met at 10 a m, all members present, and resumed the business of auditing claims against the county. Warrants were ordered in pay ment of those allowed. Following claims were disallowed: W H Stearns, $169, team hire and quarantine expenses. Not chargeable under his contract. John M Laughlin. 835, team hire for coroner. Gertrude C Dean, 82G0, use of hotel for pest house. Not properly chargeable to Teton county. Resignation of J H Boucher as justice of the peace St Mary's township, was presented and accepted. Ordered: That on presentation by Sea .nan & Go of a proper deed for right of way of Choteau and Collins road through their lands, the county clerk shall draw a warrant in their favor on the fund in payment therefor, at the rate of ono hundred dollars per mile, accord ing to agreement made and approved at the March 1S00, regular meeting. Under the provisions of Senate bill No 71, Seventh legislative assembly of the state of Mon tana, the board then pro ceeded to reorganize the road districts, and divided the county as follows: Choteau Road District No 1. All that portion of Teton count} lying south of a line beginning at the north east corner of section 25, township 27 north, range 1 west, and continuing west on section lines co the western boundary 'of Teton county. Dupuyer Road District No 2. All that portion of Teton county em braced within the following boundaries: Beginning at the northeast corner of ' section 25, township 27 north, range' 1 west, theuce west along section line to > northwest corner of section 30, township 27 north, range 3 west, theuce continu ing west to the western boundary of the county, thence northerly along said western boundary to the south lino of the "ceded strip.
