Lyndes of Helena, who is actively behind the move to secure signers to petitions repealing the law creating the state board of railway commissioners and constituting in place of it a new board composed of one elective and two ap pointive officers, according to reports from the larger centers of the state where an effort has been made to se cure signers. The Board of Railway Commission ers was created by legislative act in J'J07 and its members are elected by) vote of the people; one member being. elected every two years for a terra of six years. According to reports from Helena. since the petitions have been circulat ed, the office of the board has received a great many letters from all parts of the state, tendering the assistance and support of commercial organiza tions, industries and individuals, to the end that the present organization may not be disturbed or hampered in any way. Many of the petitions have I been returned unsigned to Mr. Lyn I des. Breaking It Gently Daughter—"May I go to a wed ding, father?" Father—"Well, alright—but must you go?" Daughter—"I suppose so.
