Pirate Party The Thomas Good home, of Washoe, was the scene of a very pretty party Thursday evening, when the Misses Virginia ' Pollard, of Red Lodge and ; Elizabeth Good, of Washoe enterained j' at a miscellaneous shower, compllmen tary to Miss Eloise McCleary, who is a bride of this week. The shower was in the foem of a pirate party, the chest of gifts being hidden for the honor guest to discover. Each guest came representing a pirate. The pro gram of the evening was: Piano solo—Miss Marjorie Finley. Vocal solo—Mrs. T. C. Pound. Vocal Solo—Thomas Good. A very delicious lunch was served at a late hour. The invied guess were Mesdames Frank McCleary, and T. F. Pollard and Misses Mable Martin, Jes samil Brophy, Frances Eogleman, Op al Pippemgcr, Marjorie Freaks, Mar jorie Finley, Margaret i Scott, Alice Baxter, Maud Baxter, and Leola Jones, of Red Lodge and Mrs. T. Bearcreek Picnic At Mullen, Idaho Word has been received in this city of a Bearcreek picnic held at Mullen, Idaho at the Highlands Meadow on Augus t3. The afternoon was spent in various outdoor sports, the princi ple event being a base ball game be tween the Hunter mine and the Morn ing mine, Phil Noble pitching for the Morning team and William Blower for the Hunter team. All present were former residents of this community and their many fricnd.4 arc glad to hear from them. Those who attended the picnic were Messrs, and Mesdames William Noble and daughter, Mike DeMorc and daughter, Dave Bryant, William Blow cre and son, Dave Hastie, Charles Sehlautzhauer, Harry Stewart and Jim Scott, Mike O'Brien, H. S. Hos kinson, Henry ranfill, Harry Crissey, Phil Noble and Rex Brocks. The Camp Fire girls held their reg ular meeting at the McNeal home Fri day evening. Following business, va rious musical selections were enjoyed followed by a delicious lunch. Those present were Edith Graham, Janette Murray, Anna Frances, Dorothy Fos ter, Gladys Lindsay, Mary and Katie Laikitis, Nell Kane, Josephine Bastln, Josephine Chesarek, Minnie Bruno, Mary Sarich, Agnes and Sarah Mc Neal, and Mrs. R. M. Lord. The Washoe and Bearcreek ball teams combined played in Red Lodge Sunday the score resulting in a vic tory for the home team, the score be ing 15 to 9. Dr. and Mrs. J. W. Reed entertained at "600" Tuesday evening followed by a delicious lunch served by the hos tess and her daughter, Gladys. The guests were Messrs and Mesdames S. M. Arvin, H. B. Jack Sewell, Victor Katar, and Nick Sarich who were arrested in Bridger last Tuesday night on a charge of burglary arc all out on a $500 bond awaiting their trial, the date not hav ing been set as yet. Under the old rates of the Montana Power Company, Mr. Stork «u a pleased and satisfied customer. Under the new rates, which have been In effect for the past 13 months, he is an enthusiast. ''My house is thoroughly equipped with electrical appliances", said Mr. Stork to a reporter for this paper, as he stepped from the Power Company's office the other day, waving a receipted bill, electric lamps, a four-burner, superantomatic Hotpoint Hughes electric range, electric wate" heater, toaster, vacuum cleaner, curling iron, perco lator and waffle iron. "During May, June and July, my hills averaged $9.95 a month. But if it cpst twice as much, 1 wouldn't abandon a single electrical appli ance in the house. In fact, the rate is so reasonable that if we go out of an evening and leave all the lights burning, I never worry, knowing that the more current we use the clicajier the rate." Charles D.
