A claim for compensation made by James Williams of Contant, who fell into an open ditch constructed bv the government one night while on his wey home from church, has been denied by Governor de Castro. Mr. Williams, who is over 70 years of age, was bed-ridden for severl weeks, and was unable to work his farm, the sole source of his livelihood.
