Swing warned all aliens that they must register next month under terms of the 1952 Immi gration and Nationality Act. _He said there are 2,925, 000 non-citizens 1n the country at present, com pared with 2,899,000 who + filed registration - reports last year. Continued on page 3 Lottery Trap 7 Nabbs Youth A few days ago someone entered the home of Elsa Delturo at Hospital Grounds and made off with some V.I. lottery tickets, in additional to $1 in change. The tickets won S2O in the recent drawing, and so the police figured that the one who removed the ticket would naturally try to exchange it for ecash. A trap was-set in the lot tery office, and a 14 year old boy was nabbed as he presented the ticket for payment this week. The winning pitcher was Valentine Hendricks, who needed help from Real Baptiste in the eighth in ning. The losing pitcher was Lionel Joshua. Hen dricks, limited the Falcons to four singles and struck out eleven. Aubrey Haynes collected two of the Fal cons’ four hits. Top hitter for the Stars and the game was Wilburn Smith with three hits in four trips. Hendricks and Raymond Chesterfield had two hits apiece. The famous Finlay band arrived in St. Croix only Saturday, four days late, all the visitors must return to New York via Pan American by Jan. 4. If they do not re confirm their return flights by to day, their reservations may be cancelled, and there is no assurance that space will be available during the entire month of January. Ashley L. Totten, presi dent of the American Vir gin Islands Civic Associa tion, sponsor of the pil grimage, headed the yule tide delegation.
