(b) That any officer or fempioyee of

ance of his official duties suffers injury
of such a nature as to compel his sepa
ration from the service, shall receive an
annual pension equvalent to two thirds
of the average amount to his salary dur
ing the latest five years of his service in
public offize was for a lesser term than
fiue years, during his entire term of ser
vice.
(¢] That the widow of an officer or
empioyee of the Muaicipality shall re
ceive an annual peosion in the amount of
one fourth of the amout to which a de
ceased officer or em )loyee of the Muni
cipality was entitled and was receivinyg,
or would have been entitled uvoder this
ordinance: Proviged, however, That the
widow of a deceased officer or employ-e
whose death was caused by accident ree
sulting {rom the performance of the du
ties of his oifice shall receive an annual
pension equivaient to two thirds of the
ahnual amount of the salary of such
offiser or employee during the latest five
years of his service, or if his service in
puolie office was for a lesser term than
five years during his entire term of ser
vice.
d That the minor legitimate children
or the dependents of a deceased officer
or employee as deflned in Section I,
paragraph 1, subparagraphs ¢ and d,
shall be granted annual pensions as pro
vided in Section V1 paragraph 1, sub
paragraph (c) above for the widows of
such deceased officers or employees
