A.”” (Public No. 749 -S 4524 — was pas:ed by the 74 h Congress of the United Siates and ap proved June 22, 1936. provides in Sectico 8 thereof in part as follows: .. . ““The next general election in the Virgin Is lands :hall be held on November 3, 1936. At such election there shaill be chosen the entire membership of each Municipel Council as herein provided .... ’; and WHEREAS rhe said Aect, now styled the Organic Act, provides that the caid Munieipal Council shail be composed of nine (9) members, viz: 2 Members For Christiansted Town & Suburbs; 2 Members For Christiansted Country Dis trict; 2 Members For Frederiksted Town; 2 Members For Frederiksted Country District. Andl Member At Large: FOR THEREFORE. by viriue of the aforesaid Section 8 of the Organic Ace and by direction of the Governor of the Virgin lsiands of the United States, a general election will be held at the Po lice Court House, in Christiansted, ¢n TUEDAY, November 3, 1936. for the purpose of electing TWO MEMBERSE for Christiansted, sown and Suburbs.
