Two other orchestras, the Bright Star, of Christiansted. and the Serenaders of Frederiksted were guests. The Sere paders played from 8:30 to about 10:30; the Bright Stars 10:45 to 12:45, and the Syncopators from 1:00 to 2 a. m. ation Army continued its Har val celebration last night in eting hall, Judge D. Hamilton ackson presided. ihe large audience was pleased wit! the entertainment. Last night the Luther Leagur of Chris tiansted held a social at the Lutherar parsonage. A fine little program was rendered and refreshments were served, It is advised that the steamer ‘‘Mary’’ will not call at Frederiksted this trip. .~ She is due here this afternoon and sails . toworrow at ooon for St. Thomas and - San Jaan. The Millito Kid, one of the Harlem Kid's boys tipfie&m off that Joe kayoed a spar mate, but be refused tc mention the pame. Millito declared as. Harlem is in such splendid condition you can imagine how Teddy will be looking after the fight. It seems as if all’'s quiet in the Camp, the boys are all caim, Teddy Brown is probably waiting to ‘‘talk after the fight.” We are anxious to hear from Brown’s camp; Harlem Joe is punishing his spar mates — what are you doing, Teddy? DRILLING OJTIFIT MEETS TROUBLE Some very large rocks deeply imbedd ed and composed of nezarly impeoetra ble material are giving the compressed air—drilling division of the P. W, D. all the trouble it can stand, in the Back Street. As a result progress in the ad vanced diteb—-digging section is greatly retarded and the drilis keep up ear-splhit ting rattiing all day long. POLISH SAILORS ENJOY STAY HERE The Polish sailors during their stay in St. Thomss made plenty of friends owing to the splendid manper in which they deported themselves. It was sur prising to hear how well they spoke the English language. Many of the officers were much grieved that their stay could not be any longer on our beautiful suun kissed islands.—The Daily News.
