Miss Maude Bassell, of Lost Creek, is the pleasant guest of Miss Anna Boggess this week. Miss Lulu Sbuttleworth, of Romine's Mills, will visit her sister Mrs. T. E. Cunningham next week. Mr. and Mrs. B. T. South ern just returned from Ohio, having spent the fourth in Marietta. Misses Mamie and Ida Hay mond, Bessie Minnich, Laura Boughner and Mattie Collins will visit the World's Fair, on their homeward trip from Montreal. Mrs. R. R. Powell expects' to leave for Virginia next Veek where she will join her husband and spend the summer. Prof. L. J. Corbly, of tills city, accompanied by Prof. A. J. Wilk inson, of Grafton, are attending the West Virginia Educational Association at Huntington this ^.week. Since then we have received a very elaborate account of the wedding, and contrary to our custom, make a second mention of the event, which certainly was one of the most elegantly plan* ned weddings ever celebrated in that community. . Rev. Henry Langford, of Wes&n, was the officiating clergyman. The church, was packed with people and as the fair bride passed down the aisle, leaning upon. the arm of her accepted husband; there was a, subdued murmur of admira tion.
