Several of the officials of Tbe Jack i sun Iron and TIo Plate Company are la tbe city contemplating some ar rangements relative to tbe final orga nization of tbe operating force of tbe plant. Toe general manager, Mr. C. C. Moore, is authority for tbe statement that the work Oh construction is pro gressing In tbe most satisfactory man ner. Tbe machinery is nearly all on the ground 'or In transit The im mense engines are now being set. Tbe ! foundations are complete, and with 1 the exception of tbe main building, . all other struct'iial work is practically complete. A large part of material for the main building is on the track or in transit, and a large force of men will be in Clarksburg In a few days to beglo erection. So far as construction of the plant is concerned, all will be finished In am i pie time to begin manufacturing shortly after the first of the year. The problem that most seriously confronts the company Is Id relation to houses for the men. Unless the public spirited citizens of Clarksburg Interest themselves and take some I steps to provide comfortable homes ] which ran be bad at reasonable rental J it will prove a very serious obstacle | to the early operation of the plant, | for men will not come unless they have I a good home for their families, j It would seem that in as much as .
