West Em, who was found dead in bed Thursday morning, -was not crashed to death by its parents in ? as v.-a? stated yesterday. Brain trouble'was the caii?e of the little one's death, according to the statement of Dr. T. M. Hood, the attending physician, who says that he diil not give his opinion that the bafyr was crushed to death accident ally by it? parent# The blue marks' on the child's body wore undoubtedly the result of the child lying on that side, caus ing the blood to settle near the sur face of the flesh which is usual in^se of death. -This gave ground for the theory that the baby was crashed to death. The bodv of the child was-taken to Pennshoro Friday morning for burial. Mr. and Mrs. McLaughlin hare the deep sympathy of their friends in their bereavement and it i is unfortunate the theory that the baby ,,was crashed o death in bed should have been entertained. The loss of their child, to wlt^h they were very much attached, is enough to weigh" their minds without the thooght that it had been accidentally crashed to death. The parents have h I.-:rge number of friends in the community who express heartfelt condolence >>vcr the child's death and also regret the wrong impres sion- abou: the cause of the baby's j 'lentil. 1 ^ _ I Tt 5? a well known medical fact, j hat pine resia is most/effective in the treatment of diseases of the bladder and kidneys. Morrison's bloodljounds from Moundsvi'.le were used :tt En terprise late Thursday afternoon in an effort to locate and capture burg lar? o^f Dr. Nutter's drug store titer.' some time Wednesday night, but they were unsuccessful in locating them. The burglars entered the store and secured quite a lot of whiskey and other drugs. The/thieves' en ter ! the store by climbing through the transom over the door. These : wre at least two of them and pro'o ! ahlv more. The authorities, feel | sure that the crime was committed ! by some of the residents of the town. I Dr. Nutter sent to J[(>undsvilk .for the famous bloodhounds of C'ol-. Bill Morrison and they arrived at j Enterprise in charge of Col. ^Mor Xki?n just after noon Thusdav. The do$s were given the seeiit front- the transom and followed the trail for several h'mrs about the streets of the town. From the actions of the dogs it seems clear that the men who robbed the store arc residents of the town. Col. 'Morrison is sure the men are I stil! in tiic town and feels that he could have captured them had lie not been compelled to "ive up the chase because of his extreme weariness and because of the fact that he had no one to take charge of the dogs. At no time were the dogs at a loss as to the trail and when Col. Mor risrin at last took them from -the frail thev were still following it unhesitatingly. Finishes Contract. The reports hare been, greatly exag gerated. The roraor aros<* owing to tbe fact that the gas companies ?have been supplying the Jlonianiown <r!as> plants Kith fuel at a low rate and on the approach of cold weth er tbe pcessnre naturally went down to some extent, and this was prob | ably seized as a pretext by the gas people in the endeavor to get a high er rate per thousand fuet from the glass? men. Of course it is more profitable for the gas people to sup ply private consumers, and when f shortage takes place they usually at tempt to look oat for number, one Iir the Morgantown case it is said there is plenty of gas in the dis trict, the shortage having been ^ca us ed by the gas company failing to connect certain of their wells to the line. The W. B. Jones window glass plant did not lose any time ^neither did either of the flint glass plants, bat it is said tbe Manila window factory lost a few blowings owing to the fact that ihe plant is located at the end of the gas line. However, the trouble has been satisfactorily yul justed and no further loss of time is anticipated. The Manila and Jones plants have thus far made an excellent' run.
