p There is strength in union. All of Owensboro's merchants invite you to be
present on Festival Week, April 10th to 15th. This week is devoted to the I
1 entertainment of the farmers and their families. You can meet your friends in

I Owensboro that week if they live within a radius of 50 miles. Write to them I

I to meet you here on mule day, automobile day, or on the day when the largest
i families will have a wagon parade. Perhaps they would rather come to the
fiddlers' contest, or be here for the school girls' parade on Friday, or the boys' !
parade and baby show on Saturday. At any rate, every farmer and his wife and
family will be here, and the girl making the best loat or bread or the best cake i
I or the prettiest needlework will get $5.00 and lots of fun in the contest. Every
I morning at 9:00 o'clock is the band concert that's going to play that old ragtime
i that will make your feet shuffle.
