Rev. Cummings of Ida Grove.
The installation service as the First

evening was a very auspicious opening
of the pastorateof Rev. Wm. Ellsworth
wssBryce. The evening was beautiful,
sand the attendance wa9 excellent,
numbers of members of other churches
manifested their good will by
their presence. The service was
solemn and impressive, and alculated
to .leepen the sense of obligation on
th: part of both pastor and people.
fjwThsi iQatallation was conducted by the

GAME AT DOW CITY IS A TIE.
Neither Side Scored in the Football
Game Played at Dow City Last
Saturday.-
The return game of football with
Dow City wa.s played at. that place last
Saturday and was one of the mo3t hotly
contested games played by the home
team this season, as neither side made
a score.
The team was well supported by the
large number of Denison rooters who
accompanied them, although our
students do not know how to root to the
best advantage. In some respects our
boys did some of the best playing they
have done so far this season. They
worked at a disadvantage in having an
entirely new formation and a new set
of signals. The team work was poor,
but there was good individual playing
throughout the entire game, Under
the new formation our offence was
somewhat weakened, while thedefence
on line smashes was exceedingly poor.
There was but one time when either
eld was in danger of scoring. In the
first of the second half, while Dow City
had possession of the ball, our boys
nearly forced them back over their
own goal line, which would have made
two for our team.
The line-up which our boys present
ed Saturday is as follows:
Maloney, full-back Lully and Thew,
half-backs Rob Romans, quarter-back:
ftohwer, center Wook, right guard
Hart, left guard'. Weeks, right tackle
Danielson, left tackle Rioter, right
end Rbedenba'ugh, left end.

republican party, while his apostrophe
to the little bronze button worn by the
Grand Army of the Republic was one
of the most eloquent, soul-stirring, and
patriotic of any we have ever heard.
