Rev. George W. Johnson has decided to dedicate the new Episcopal church In of erection at Collins' school house, Sussex county, on Tuesday, June 1st. Bishop Leo will officiate. Rev. P. H. Rawlins was prevented from preaching his farewell sermon at Bethel on Sunday a week ago in conse quence of the inclement weather, and preached there last Sunday Tho Rev. Mr. Brooks, paster in oharge of St. Peter's Kpisoopsl church at Salis bury, Md. t has declined the call of Christ churoh, of Milford. Hill, Presiding Elder of Hasten District, has closed up his la bors for the year, and gone to Confer ence. The Baptist obnreh at Milford has been decorated with a liberal amount of paint, which is a decided improve ment. The annual convention of the Kpis oopal Diocese of Delaware will convene at Laurel on Wednesday, June seoond. Rev. C. K.^Boynton has been on a visit to Milford and Peltou. Volin and Mourner, Precipi tated Into a Cellar. A remarkable accident aocnrred at tbe fnneral of Alonzo Van Patten, an uld and respected citizen of Duanes bnrg, N. T. The oorpse lay in the par lor, where about sixty relatives and friends were assembled. When the services were proceeding the floor gave way, and the corpse and funeral assem blage were cast into tbe cellar. The ooffin fell upon Mrs. John Little, crush ing and dangerously injuring her. Several others were badly hart. There w&s the wildest excitement, bnt the neighbors helped the people ont throagh 'a cellar window. The ooffin and body were oovered, and the services speedily terminated. Another Advance In Coal. The coal managers have resolved npoa another advance in coal. The Delaware and Hudson Canal Company Issued a oiroular ou Monday giving new quotations, whioh showsan advance on all grades with tho exception of stove, as follows: Furnaoe lump, 10 cents; steamer lump and grate, 30 oents; egg, 25 cents, and ohestnnt, 5 oents per ton. The Delaware, Laokawanna and West ern Railroad Company also issue a circulation on Monday, their prioes being the same as above, except for fnrnaoe lump, whioh Is advanced 30 oents per ton. It was learned reoontly that tbe name of the organization is the Edison Ure Milling Company. The company will have a capital of $350,000, $100, 000 of w!, ich has already been paid in. A clergyman recently left Liverpool in a large ocean steamer, and, begin ning to feel uncomfortable alter leaving tbe mouth of the river, sought the cap tain to learn if there was any danger. The captain, in response, led the cler gyman to the foreoastle and told him to listen to what was going on. The cler gyman was shocked to hear the sailors swearing vigorously, and expressed bis horror to the captain. A day or two afterward, dur ing a severe storm, the captain saw the oiergyman proceeding with difficulty to the forecastle, and ou his return over heard him exoiaim: "Thank Heaven, they're swearing yet'.'' While a railway train on the Kansas Paoifio was travelling along near Grant villa, Kansas, on Maroh 11, an old lady rose from her berth and while still a sleep opened the door of the oar and walked outlie platform. As the train was moving at the rate of 25 miles an hour, the oondntoor expected to find the mangled remains of the lady on the traok, but when the train had baoked up he found her hobbling along, braised bnt not seriously injured. She was un able to explain how she had left the oar.
