Hoover, class 75, ot WBh ington, D. C., read the Secretary's re^rt, which was a well written and interesting pap*r. A solo, "Come, the bark is mov ing)" wag then sung by Addie V. Lock wood, class 77, of Baltimore. "Charlie sfacrie," a poem, was recited by Miss Florence Bonsall in the absence of Miss Addie V. Cook, of Philadelphia. Miss Bonstill is a careful elocutionist, and her atyle of recitation was about criticism. Her efforts were received with great applause. She did most excentlv. Mtssvs Mary and Eva Taylor, class of 73, 8*03 in a pleasing manner, "Flow< Isbells in Spring." An instrumental solo, "Printemps d'Amour" by Mies Inna C. Pickels, class 72, next took place, and was well received. Essay, "Ifs," by Mire Florence Hoffecker, < Iasi 78, followed. Miss Josephine G. Cook, class 63, of Philadelphia, sang a solo. She has a very sweet and finely cultivat'd voice. Repeated applause brougbt^her forth to give the audience more of nei sweet singing. Miss Florence Bonsaif, class 74, of Camden. N. J: recited "Archie 1 ean," in a very pleasing and cultiva ting manner. Her natural style entrano d the audience, snd she again received well deserved applause. Then came a vo cal duett, "Ship A-hoy,'' MilfarL by Misa Laura A. Callaway, class 74, of Winconisco, Pa., and Mr. C. B. Rhoads Their excellent renditiou of the _ piece showed themselves to be, trained singers. Miss Schofield and Master Geertner gave a piano and violin duett entitled "Sounds from Home. v ■ The benediction was then pronounced by Rev. J. B. Quigg. During tbe evening bonquets were presented to the following persons: Mr. C. B. Rhoads, Misa Calla way and Master Gaertner. Among those present was Rev. Mr. Wilson, ex-president of the college. The exercises being over tbe scholars and friends repaired to tbe parlor* and the rest of the evening was spent in social chat. The college commencement takes place thia evening at the Grand Opera House. UPSET. THE NEW BUILDING. Speculation la rife as to who are to be the occupants of the handsome new build ing at Front and Market streets, but no definite statements have yet been obtained as to who they will be.
