D lieu to Eat Fruit. The real place of fruit is at the be ginning of a feast, and not at the end. A better plan is to make a meal of bread and ripe fruit. The best meals to make thus are breakfast, lunch, or early tea. The biead should be brown an ! dry and the fruit ripe and raw. Dry brown bread cleans the tongue and brings out the flavor of the fruit. Butter on the bread would give its own flavor, for even tho salt in the butter would destroy the pure taste of the fruit. Again, I the fruit should be raw, if possible, ! as many delicious odors aud delicate flavors are lost in the cooking.—Chi cago Tribune. , • t The big timber of this State at tracts great attention at home and abroad.
