The surprise was indeed a genuine one as she had no knowledge of their coming until they broke in tho door singing "Nun danket. alio Gott." The visitors brought well filled bas kets and a bounteous feast, was spread and all present did anmle justice to the meal. The evening was spent in singing and amuse ments of different kinds and another day was dawning before the ic ts had all departed. They left two handsome chairs as a reminder of their visit.
