The following are a few of the many reasons why we claim for the American Club Skate a superiority over all others. The clamps are first adjusted to fit any width cf sole or he-el, by turning the thumb crew. When once adjusted they are always adjusted and by placeing the lever in osition, the sole and heel clamps ere fastened securely to the fooi. There being no nuts, screws, parts, wrench or key, there is nothing u lose or get out of order, all parts being riveted. They Lre more simply ami easily adjusted, to suit any sixe of boot or shoe, than any odier skate in market. Skater** all appreciate this fact. They do not need anv key. wrench, or other apparatus lo adjust them, sod to be often lost when wanted—bein^ complete in themselves. One motion of the lever fastens them sccure:y, removes them instantly. They are self-adjusting to any size of sole or heel. Both the lever and adjusting screw being self-locking, there is no possibility of loosening or unfastening. They obviate the necessity of any previous preparation of the boot or shoe with plates or other fixtures. They have been thoroughly tested by the best exeits in the world, and everywhere conceded to be unequalled, which the rapidly increasing demand for them during tb* past five years also demonstrates. They are made of the very best materia! to be obtained, no common or cast iron skates being manufactured. The runners are all hardened and tempered by Wilson's celebrated patent process. Every pair is tested and warranted, and no other skate fastening every invented will stand the severe tests to which this is subjected. They are more durable and less liable to get out of order than others, on account of their simplicity of construction. THE CLIPPER CLUB SKATE.
