For sheriff, Daniel Make, Thomas Lurkin, Peter Dunlavy, Patrick liyrnc and I. II. Fredenburg are already announced, while plenty of other? are in reserve, willing to take the nomination if the convention should re ject all these. For representative, "Win. M. The confidence of being able to beat Char ley Hook for citcuit c!erk seems to be lee8 than any other part of the ticket, as no prominent name is yet mentioned as ready to contest for that office. If he wears cowhide boots destitute of polish they have carried him bravely through an honorable career, marked out by enterprise and cndmir with success. Kicked to Death i;y a House. -William BIcakley, while at the farm of Thomas lltrrfurd, four miles weft of Ottawa, on Tuc-bday, with Lis stallion, received such a violent kick in the breast from the home, that he died in 15 minutes. The ror?, in apparent - playfulnew, had jerked hit halter cut of Mr. Blek lay's hand, mid he had just recovered it when the borne auddetily turned and dealt the fatal blow. The tone had never shown any sign of being vicious, and the kick was probably more in play than from ugliness.
