On motion, treasurer was order ed to cancel taxes on certain notes assessed to Christian Reiswig for the year 1905 amounting to $86.95 on account of erroneous assess ment. Tax affidavit of Christian Reis wig, a member of the partnership doing business at Lincoln, N. D., under the firm name of Reiswig Bros was presented wherein it was shown that said firm of Reis wig Bros., for the year 1905, was erroneously assessed with 2,278,00 on credits. On motion, the aiuditor and treasurer was ordered to cancel the personal assessment of Reiswig Bros., to the amount $2,278.00 on credits for the year 1905. D., presented a petition for the right to build and maintain a tele phone line in unorganized town ships near Anamoose, N. Dak. On motion, the following reso lution was adopts®^' Whereas, W. N. Baillie, of An amoose.^ Dak.!, has made appli cation Jo-the board of county com missioners of McLean county, North Dakota, for the right of way for the erection of a telephone line in unorganized townships of this county, and Whereas, it appearing to the satisfaction of such board of coun ty commissioners that said W. N. Baillie has a local telephone ex change at Anamoose, N D., and it is deemed for the best interests of the residents of this county resid ing near Anamoose, N. Dak., that such telepone lines be erected: Therefore, be it resolved, that the said W. N. Baillie, be and is here by granted the right of way for the construction, erection end main tainance of a telephone line or lines in unorganized townships of this county upon the highways therein under the care and super vision of such board of county com missioners in the county of Mc Lean and state of North Dakota. Peter Stafstine, for grading be tween sections 20 and 21, 149-75, 28 cents per cubic yard. George Kost being the lowest bidder, on motion the contract was awarded to him. On motion John Knaldson was appointed justice of the peace, to fill vacancy caused by the resig nation of John Bertel. On motion, board adjourned to meet at 2 o'clock p. m. July 12th, 1906. BOARD OF EQUALIZATION. Washburn, N, D., July 2nd, 1906. On motion, the board of. county Commissioners resolved itself into the County Board of Equalization. Present Commissioners Solen berger, Jahr and Putz. N. W. Solenberger, Simon Jahr and Frank Putz filed their oath of office. On motion, N. W. Solenberger was elected chairman and O. B. Wing clerk.
