Dort Myers of Raub and Chas. Stephenson of Turtle Lake were the witnesses. Mr. and Mrs. Lei bel will make their home on their farm near Raub. Rev. C. W. Finwall, of Bismarck Field Secretary for the North Dakota Total Abstinence Association will speak in Washburn next Sunday even ing Oct. 5th. It is requested that all churches in this city get together on this evening at the hall where a public mass meeting will be held at 8 o'clock. The subject for the evening is a rally for the uplifting of civilization. Everyone is invited to attend. ATTRACTIONS FOR. THE WEEK Mr. George Batty, who resides near Oakes, N. D. arrived in the city last week and has bought an interest in the Holton Merc. Co. Store. He has also purchased the Schoenecker resi dence and will later on move his fam ily to this city. Mr. Batty is well ac quainted in Washburn, having lived here before while employed in the Mc Lean Abstract and Title Co., and his old friends gladly welcome him back again. H. J.
