ItOLlNS* GENUINE TONIC MIXTVRE, Warranted ajperfect and lasting cure for the FEVER AND AGUE. From Dr. Hamilton, of Philadelphia. DEAR SIR: I will not withhold that I have witnessed, with great satisfaction, many cases of Fever and Ague, wherein your Tonic Mixture has been of unexpected and permanent benefit, after the ordinary medicines were of no more use than to effect temporary checks to the disease. The principles upon which you have constructed your medicine, would be rea- { dily recognized as in accordance with the sci ence of Physic, and the Fever and Ague always admitting of one uniform mode of treatment, your Mixture may be administered with its usu al advantage in every case of the complaint. Respectfully, b. M. HAMILTON. From the Baltimore Advertiser Gazette. CURE FOR AGUE AND FEVER, &c. Ac. Rowan’s Tonic Mixture never fails to cure this most distressing of all diseases, as hundreds of certificates of high respectability, like the following, fully prove: Cobbsville, Montg. Co. Md. May 6, 1833. I certify that Walter Reynolds, a young man living with me, was for two years distressingly afflicted with Fever and Ague; lost nearly a year’s wages, spent much money in doetering, and tried,! presume, fifty “ certain cures,” all to no purpose. He was at last cured by taking Rowand’s Tonic Mixture, which 1 believe to be the best medicine in the world for curing the Fever and Ague. THOMAS FAWCETT. Sia— Gratitude to the Qreat Preserver of Men com. pels me, in compliance with your request, to give a brief statement of a cure, which, I think, I received from the llygeian Medicines. I give publicity to the same the more cheerfully, because thereby, perhaps, I may be useful to some of mv fellow-men, who may be afflicted with a similar disease. My complaint was called Pulmonary Consumption, and that my real condition may be explicitly unier stood, I state, in connexion with the relation of the cure, some of the symptoms of the disease. In Sep tember, 1812,1 caught a severe cold, which settled on my lungs; I was confined to my room about one week, with a fever, attended with considerable cough; my cough soon abated, and apparently, I was regaining mv health; when, after about three weeks, in the course of the night, having returned the evening be fore in usual health. I found myself bleeding at the lungs. I h id not, to my knowledge, received any hurt or strain, to which the cause of this might be attribut ed I spat blood, occasionally, for four days; it left me with some fever, pain in the breast, very little ap petite, and withal, very weak A few weeks determined that I was in a decline I received the attention of the most ski'.ful Physicians, who often seemed to check the progress of the dis esse, and inspire the li >pe of a speedy recovery. But rel pse upon relapse, mud each bringing me lower than the preceding, seemed to baffle all human skill, and warn me of an approaclikig dissolution. Thus, months after the first attack, a " tubercle'* [small ul cer] broke in the Inngs, after which I spat blood, one day. I continued to decline two months longer, when I obtained the Hygeian Medicines. I had now been unable to sit up a whole day, for four months and • half. My feet were cold and lifeless, sleep unsound, cold night sweats constant, tongue furred, pulse in the afternoon from seventy-five to one hundrai per mi nute, food produced great distress, sppetite very poor, pain in the breast directly opposite the heart, attended with some cough, Sec. f*c. Such was my condition, when I first became acquainted with the Hygeian Medicines I commenced taking the medi cines, four pills st a dose, and increase I the dote dai ly, one up to the number or twelve. In about ten days, my appetite became good, and food produced no distress, sleep soon became sound and refreshing, and in about f.irtv days the symptoms of the disease had nearly all disappeared I took the medicine siaty days regularly every night, averaging about ten pill* at a dose; the greatest num ber taken at anv one time was fifteen. After this, I took about four.dosea a week, until I had taken about thirteen hundred pills when I found myself restored to health. After I commenced the lit g> Ian, I took no other medicine. One year from the first attack, I w.» able to resume my studi-s in college, where I have since remained without any recurrence of the diseise Mith* rto I have been convalescent; and if* my strength is not yet fully returned, I am certain I nave less pains, and am more free from temporary sickness, than at any time since my earliest recollec tion. The pain was a violent (turning p .in, almost intolerable! to tee veie, that *he could not ait up for upwards of three •/ears. It was occasioned by overdacmg hers <• If, and perhaps, over exertion with it. sfter using a few* doses of No I and 2. alternately, about eight pills for * dose, -he pain decreased, and, by perseverance in their use, she is now restored to health! and I have ,no objection to this case being made public For the benefit of others; and am, dear sir, yours truly, M. DYER.
