Mo t of the diseases of children originate in
vermious affections.
Worms destroy tiie nourishment, which is in
tended by nature to support life.
The immediate effects ol Swaim s Vermifuge,
are to tranquili/.c the stomach, cdear itot aeeid
ulous phlegm, dissipate superfluous bile, in
( reuse the gastric juices, and promote healthy
digestion.
It alleviates the sick head ache, and is an an
tidote for the cholera morbus of our eouutiy, di
arrhea, fever and ague, aud that class of disea
ses which owe their origin to a disordered slate
of the stomach and bowels.
This remedy expels worms t>y giving healthy
action to the stomach and organs ol digestion.
There i./nothing in its composition to kill worms.
They are seldom seen alter its use, and the pa
tient improves ir. health, color and appetite.
Those medicines which kill wmms, must ol
course injure the stomach materially, ami be
tin' cause of many serious complaints. This
! fact has been entirely neglected by the (ac
uity and the error has never been discovered
until Swaim’s Vermifuge proved to the entire sa
tisfaction ol every family wlm lias* used it.
Tht? medicine is no less efficacious in many
of tin? diseases of giown persons, by dissipating
those morbid secretions, which produce dysente
ry, diarrhoea, cholera morbus, piles, fever and
ague, dyspepsia, aeeidity ‘>1 the siomach, foul
breath and the disagreeable affections conse
I nuent upon billions disorders.
It is io\v in general use m most parts nj i,ie
world. Families resident in the country, trav
ellers going into the interior, or voyaging to
! distant tropical climates, (insulated from medi
| cal talent) would lind tfwaim’s Vermifuge ol
! moat advantage.

When the Cholera was raging here to a great extent,
the Rev. l)r. John French had occasion to use this pre

“On '1 imrsday, my little son came borne from school,
making gre:*t complaint of sick stomach, and pain m the
bowels, lie looked to be quite sick. I immediately
gave him a (lose of this medicine; he was presently re

“On Friday, while absent from home, a white girl
living at my house, was taken with nausea and pain in
