Mv 1>kar Sir : I held it of good augury,
that your letter of the 12th of June reached me
by the Hermann, just in time to be answered
this morning.
l ou may b* sure that I have ?r>a:e*l no pains
to discover, in the British State raper Office, a
c jpy of the resolves of the Committee of Meck
lenburg, and with entire success A glance at
the map, will show you that, in those days, the
traffic of that part of North Carolina took a j
southerly direction, and people in Charleston, j
and sometime* even in Savannah, knew what j
wdi going on in “Charlotte iown,” before Go
vernor Martin. The liist account of ‘ tho ex- ;

i ha*.e read a great many papers relating to
the regulator#, and arn having copies made of a
large number, ' our own State ought to have
them a1!, and the expense would be for the
State insignificant, if it does not .-end an agent
on purpose. A few hundred dollar would
copy all vou ree l from the State Paper Office t
on ail North Carolina topics. The regulators i
me, on many account*, important. I heir com
plaint* were well founded, and were so ac
knowledged, though their oppressors were only !
no ninaiiy punished. They form the connecting
Luk between resistance to the stamp act ami the
movement oj 1775; and they also played a glo
rious part in taking possession of the Mississip- '

s.*tibly by their love of independence. It is a
mistake :f any have supposed that the regula- j

A. B. & 1>. Sands: Gentlemen -Having been
cured of a severe scrofulous disease by the use
of your celebrated, ami to me invaluable Sar
saparilla, I feel it »o be an incumbent duty
which l owe to my suffering fellow beings to
testify to the means which restored me to health,
under the blessings of Providence, ’after all
other remedies failed. The disease fii>t ap
peared in small p.ir.pies or blisters, which was
attended with violent itching ami burning: these
.-pleading, covered the body, and uniting togeth
er formed large scales and scurf- from which
issued water, and the skin cracking amt burn

distress so great as to deprive me of all rest.
Mi body being covered with a mass oj scurf
and scale* affected my genera! health: which
rapidly failed, and I was obliged to abandon my
business, f was treated bv various physicians,
am! trie! different remedies without receiving
any permanent benefit, i then went into the
New York Hospital ami remained for fourteen
weeks tinder treatment, which produced tmrmo

ease returned in a few day*?, and, when given
up by mv friends and despairing of relief from
anv source, f heard of your Sarsapariiia, and
immediately resolved on giving it a trial. The

ation ot your Sarsaparilla, in combination with
your Suft Rheum Rcmrly applied externally,
effectually removed all the disease, restored me
to inv health, and Iain now aide to attend to
my business.
I would say ton!!, and particularly to my Ger

scrofula or any other disease similar to what 1
have been, use the medicine that has been
tried, proved and acknowledged to be all that
is required to bring health to the debilitated
frame. Yours, sincerely.

Sands’ Sarsaparilla.—It has ever been a j
prime article ofour medical creed, to recommend J
no advertised medicines, for Ave are opposed to |
them conscientiously and professionally, but j
we feel hound to deviate from this rule, and [
recommend to the suffering the article at the !
head of this notice. The great medical virtues
°t Sarsaparilla, are well known and appreciate*!
by physicians, but the uncertainty of the strength i
of the different preparation* of the root, some
b* ing almost inert, has caused the medicine j
itseif to fall into disrepute. The Messrs. Sands, |
it avouM seem, have succeeded in obtaining a
powerful and uniform preparation of it. \Ye !
have seen an abundance of testimonials to its j
efficacy from the highest authority, and we re
commend it with pleasure.— S*mthern Whip.
