SATURDAY EVENING, JUNE 11. The Typographical Union.?At the In? ternational Typographical Union conven? tion in Buflaio yesterday the report of the committee on female cheap labor recom? mending organization and equal pay for equal work was adopted. The committee on plates among other things recommended that union printers who, ?anctioned by the executive committee, .strike against plates be supported from the strike fund. Adopt? ed. At the afternoon session Mr. Jackson, of St. Louis, moved that the convention go into secret sessioo for the receipt of a communication of so great importance that no man not sworn to secrecy should listen to it. Mr. Jackson's manner was so impres? sive that the motion was at once carried. The secret session lasted half an hour. The committee on non-union officeB reported, but the report was secret. Three times dur? ing the afternoon the convention went into executive session for the consideration of important business. In one of the sessions David M. Pascoe, of Philadelphia, tendered his resignation as secretary-treasurer. The cause of his action was not learned, but it is thought that the reduction of the salary at? tached to the office had something to do with it. Wm. S. M. Clevey, of Chicago, was appointed to fill the vacancy. a. n. i). Walking down Broadway is very pleasant when you feel well, and T-K-never felt better than when his friend asked him how he got over that severe cough of his so " speedily. "Ah, my boy," said T-, "G. "I have it," said he, just bitting the nail on the bend, "you mean Dr. Pierce's 'Golden Medical Discove? ry,' or Gold Medal Deserved, as my friend J-S-always dubs it." Sold by drug? gists.
