Vernon avenue from its present terminus in Jetlerson district to the corporation line. The proposed plau is to construct the road to a point on iue north western suburbs. It has been suggested by City Treasurer Harlow, wlio is interesting himself in the mat tar, that this plan be changed so as to build the read to connect with Wash? ington street. Then it is suggested thai the city would improve Washing? ton street, make it a part of Mt. Ver aoo avenue and grade that street to ? north end of the electric railway Ige over Hunting creek. Order Revoked ?Major-General Butler's Order, No. IS, puuisbing the Third Virginia regiment for alleged breach of discipline, has been revoked by order of General Gobin. General Order, No. 18, referred to above, which did such injustice to the Third regi? ment, because it so grossly misrepre? sented that command required four roll calls daily; a guard around the regi? ment every thirty feet, and allowed uo furloughs passages.
