TUESDAY EVENING. KOV. 22, 1898. WIFE WRECKS HER HUSBAND'S SALOON. Mrs Harry Bradley, of New York city, went to her husband's saloon in Savauuuh, early Sunday morning, and with an empty bottle smashed every glass in the pines and poured out and threw away every bottle of liquor. Mrs. Bradley gave her husband $3,000 some time ago to start in business. He lei: the keys ol the place at home Saturday night. Mrs. Bradley found them, and. with her baby in her arms, went out about three otclock in the morning. She first notified the burglar alarm o.' fice attaches that tbey need not come to the place, as she was going in. Theo she went into tte saloon, put her child on a table and sat down for a half an hour todeliberate. She then tcok a heavy bottle and smashed every piece of glass in the place and poured out every drop of liquor. A Serious Yawn.?Miss Belle E't gelbrecht, nineteen years old, of L'nicn Hill, N. J., will be careful hereafter when she yawns. When she awoke Saturday morning she yawned. It was the same sort of a yawn that she had been in the h.ibit of indulging in, but when she started to close her mouth she found it was set, both jaws havir.^ been dislocated. Ail t Horts of her parents to restore the jaws to their pro? per position failed, aud doctors were called. Miss Eagelbrecht was placed under the influence ol ether, and after an hour's work the jaws were reset. Miss Engelbrecht is still confined to her bed because of the shock. A Sure Sign of Croup. Hoarseness in a child that is Bubject to croup is a sure indication of the ap? proach of the disease. If Chamberlain^ Cough Eemedy is given as soon as the child becomes hoarse, or even after the croupy cough has appeared, it will prt veut the attack. Many mothers who have croupy childreu alwa\-s keep this remedy at hand and find that it saves them much trouble aud worry. It can always be depended upon and is pleas ant to take. For s-.le by J. H.
