WHEELER'S PATENT CHAIN OVERSHOT THRASHERS, FEED CUTTERS, &c. The above cot represents a single or one ttorae machine with the hands necessary to Attend it. The subscribers lake Ibis method of in forming Ibe public in general, that tbey have for some time been carrying on, in all their various branches, the manulactute and sale of Wheeler's Patent Chain Horse Powers, together with Overshot Thrashers, Feed Cut ters, Revolving Horse Rakes, &c., in Light Street, Columbia 00., and the town of North umberland, Northumberland co., Pa. The Horse-Power# •re strong and durable, and very simple in their construction: run light, and ate not liable to get out of order.- With a slight ele vation, the weight alone of the horte or bones drives the Thrasher with force and speed. They may also be need for various other purposes, such a driving Circular Saws, Turning Lathee, Boring Machines, Grind stones, Churns, etc. etc. Tlie Overshot Machine* have several advantages over the machines now in use. The aprou or feeding table is level, and of a proper height to allow the feeder to stand etcct, and feed evenly and easily without annoyance from dust; sticks and stone are uot liable to gel into the thrasher, and the grain is not scattered, but thrown dowi' the separator. The two bona machine, attended by from two to three Iguids, will thrash from 100 to 150 buahels of wheat, or double the amount of oats per day. The one horse machine, at tended by two or three hands, will thrash from 50 to 75 bushels of wheat, or double the amount of oats per day. The Feed- Cutler is a first rate article, and is very much used. It cuts fine and very fast; stalks are cut by it 3-8 of *n inch long, at he rate of Worn 300 to 500 sheaves per day. The foregoing is a brief statement of the qualities and character of our machines.— There probably is a larger number of Wheeler's Patent Powers made and sold than any other kind. We offer our ma chinos to the farming communi'y with full confidence in theii merits, and invite all in terested to call and examine them before purchasing elsewhere. Wa all know that a better and more lasting idea of a locality is obtained by looking at a bald and distinct drawing of it, than by volumes of descrip tion. If a man wants to get an exact idea of a farm he has been purchasing, he learns more by one iook at the draft on the hack of the deed, than by reading the description in side twenty times. This is the great princi - ple of Pelton's system of Geography, and there are others equally practical combined with it wbicb entitle il lo the regulation it sustains, as the best and quickest mode of leaching Geography, vet introduced. It ia be cause they don't touch the cause of the dis ease. The cause of all ague and billions dis eases ia the atmospheric poison called Mias ma or Malaria. Neutralize this poison by its NATURAL ANTIDOTE, and all diseases caused by it disappears ai one#, Rhodes' Fever and Ague Cure is ibis A middle In Malaria, and moreover it is a perfectly harmless fiWUMna. The certificate of the celebrated chemist, 1. R. Chilton, of New York, to this effect, is attached to every bottle; therefore if il does no good it cur. do no harm. This is more than can be said of Quinine, Arsenic, or any tonic in existence, as their use is rninous to the constitution and brings 011 DUMB AGUE, which never allows a per son to feel perfectly well for a single moment. In illusttation of these truths I annex some extracts from a letter just received from a Physician: Georgetown, Ohio, March 17, '56. Jab. A. Rhodes, Esq.—Dear Sir: Yours ol 2d inst. is at hand. The Cure arrived late last year and the difficulty in gelling any one to try it was greatly increased from tbe fact thai a remedy bad been .introduced which was growing in favor with the public, as be ing bolter than nsing Quinine,—not knowing I presume that tbe remedy tbey needed to escape taking Quinine, contained tbe DRUG ITSELF 1 This remedy, (kncw-i as "Smith's Tonic,") would in variably BREAK an ague, bu: it did not CURE it, and it would ofteu return with renewed vigor. The one circumstance I deemed in your favor, if I could institute a lest comparison between it and your CURE. The lollowing ia the result: Three persons took your "Cure," all of which wore coses of "Quotidian Intermit tent Fever," of many wgtfts standing. They had tried Quinine,.andttelher remedies, occa sionally missing n i li J,but it was, (aa in all such cases,) slowly wearing them out, aud laying the foiindati® of outer and severer maladies. I did succeed in effecting a radi cal cure of all three af these cases with your remedy, and they bm not had a chill since. In all three of these cattae the "Smith's Ton ic" had been used, ant would, as before sta ted, break the chill, boLpfter a period or two had elapsed it would relKL^ 1 think there will be mPHHiiculiy now in giving to your "Cure" the pf any other remedy now in uDHKmi WILLIAM BUCKNpR, M.
