We are very thankful to our esteemed friend Dash for his responding echo to our bark of the 6th. If we barked up the wrong tree it is very eyident that we touched a ten der spot in tne bosom of hypocritical Dasb. We did not harbor tbe least suspicion that Dash possessed a selfish, sensitive nature and we were surprised to learn that the information and pointers given him were considered "insultingly personal" instead of mere acts of courtesy. The language be used in trying to ridicule Adams was certainly not such as to indicate that we were in contro versy with a gentleman.' If Dash has the ab horrence for good whisky bis conundrums imply, he should seek the society of more congenial spirits and not waste away his life living in a place where the atmosphere is over polluted with the obnoxious odor of diluted alcohol. Do not discontinue noticing our at tempts Dash as we will be pleased to hear from you quite often and if the condescension would not be too great on your part please curtail your quotations and give us more of tbe original.
