Builder's Material, Showers or Angle Worms* Millions of angle worms were dash ed to the earth by last monday night's rain. They were to be seen all over the ground and on the sidewalks. Where they strurk the walks they were generally mashed into jelley. We would like to have an explanation of this plie nomenon,as it is of frequent occurence. We remember to have seen at Caledonia, Huston county, n few years ago, after a storm the .-ido ol a building literally covered with these worms, in a mangled and lifeless con dition. The general supposi'son is. that they arc drawn into the clouds by water-spouts, but we question whether they inhabit water or are ever seen in the water The earth is th-ir natural home, and the only way of finding them is by digging down where they live.—[Preston (Filhuore Co.)
