The lucky number to win the 12 pound turkey was held by Wm. Peterson. After this excit ing drawing, games were enjoyed un til a late hour. i C. Madison, an organizer for the' M. W. A. Lodge, assisted by officials and a .drill team from Sacred Heart held a meeting at the Odeon last Monday evening at which time twen ty new members were taken in. Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Payne at tended the dance at Delhi Tuesday evening. __ j Miss Mabel Muetzel spent the weekend with her pai-ents, Mr. and Mrs. H, Muetzel. Many of this vicinity learned with regret of the passing of Jesse Thomp son, for many years a prominent resident and banker of Belview, at the home of his son-in-law in Devils I Lake, N. D., about two weeks ago. Miss Alva Starr held a program and basket social in her school last Wednesday evening. The Ladies Aid will hold its annual fancy work sale and chicken supper at the Swedish church parlors on Thursday evening commencing at 5:30 o’clock. Miss Alma Rose arrived here last Wednesday evening from Minneapolis where she is teaching and spent the weekend with her sister, Mrs. A. H. Dorn and family. Gordon and Virginia Engel visited over the weekend at the home of their aunt, Mrs. John Donner at Bel view. W. J. Keller drove to Slayton Sat urday evening for a visit at the par ental home. He returned Sunday ac companied by his son Leroy who spent Thanksgiving with his grand parents. C. J. Scott and family were Thanks giving guests of Mr. Scott’s mother and sister, Miss Mae, at Renville. A. H. Dorn was a business visitor last week at Minneapolis and Man kato. Misses Margaret and Vida McNau ghton of Redwood Falls were Thurs day and Friday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Willis Holder. The McKay clan was entertained this year at the home of Mrs. John Munn at Seaforth for its annual Thanksgiving gathering.
