" Delhi. The Vacation Bible school of the Presbyterian church will begin Monday, July 3, have a holiday July 4 and cont'nue thru the week and five days next week. Sessions will be from 8:45 until 11:45 a. m. Children be tween the ages of 4 and 16 years are invited. Elsie E. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Housman, Lucille Housman, Junior, Gladys, Darwin and Jerry Monson, Laura Housman and Mrs. Elsie Housman and family were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Zimmer at Danube. 2 Women Sentenced For Petty Larceny Brought into municipal court on charges of petty larceny with three other defendants, Mrs. Mor ris Doty and Mrs. Roy Voss of Morton were found guilty and sentenced to jail terms of 20 days by Municipal Judge N. R. Ryerson Saturday morning. The Voss sent ence was suspended and the Doty sentence filed for appeal. Mr. Doty, Mr. Voss and a minor girl were also named in the complaint brought by Brainerd Cherry o| Redwood Falls. During the proceedings, the judge ordered the arrest of Mrs. Viola Fogel, on the same charge. Her trial was set for this morning. Cherry, Ormie Strawsell and John Schwerin went swimming in Gold Mine lake in Delhi township Sunday afternoon, June 18. They left their clothing at a point on the shore out of their sight but plainly visible from all points around the lake, according to their testimony. Meanwhile the de fendants were fishing at the lake. Cherry and Strawsell reported billfolds with a few dollars in them missing and swore out com plaints against the defendants. Trial was held in the city hall Thursday and Friday before Judge Ryerson, with A. R. A. Lau don as counsel for the defendants and County Attorney Tom Reed representing the state. Sentence was pronounced Saturday morn ing, finding the two women guilty, dismissing charges against the men and binding the girl over to Juvenile court. Sunday a large group of boys and girls will receive solemn holy communion and small children will receive their first communion at the 8 a. m. mass in St. Mary’s church. In the afternoon ice cream and cake will be served by mem bers of the Sodality of the Bless ed Virgin in the church parlors, and the Bechyn softball team will meet Olivia on the diamond here. Lillian Chan who is employed here spent Sunday with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Chan near Renville. - Mr. and Mrs. Anton Wohnout ka are the parents of a boy born June 20. Bed-Ridden Girl Scouts Do Dances—With Puppet Seattle — (/P) —Up at the Chil dren’s Orthopedic hospital, a Girl Scout troop of 30 youngsters cou rageously learns scouting. Some are able to walk more than a few steps, some are bed ridden or confined to wheel chairs, but they learn folk dances just the same. They use puppets, man ipulating them with childish hands. Practicing swathing dolls with bandages, they learn first aid. Hospital heads offer facilities for them to learn to cook and sew. Mrs. J. W. Loe is troop leader ,in the group’s fourth year. , C. L.
