New Church Scheme.
NEW YORK, July 30.
In relation to the new Church scheme
reported1 to have been found by prominent
Unitarian ministers, Rev. Mr. Osgood makes
a positive denial of the Evening Post's story
concerning his connection therewith.
In a spicy and Sarcastic letter he also ex
plains the discourse of Mr Bellows, which
gave rise to the report, his meaning having
oeen tnisapprencnaea irom nis using the
word Catholic, in the philosophic, instead of
the ritual, sense, and nothing in truth was
said by him to justify the statement that he
favors any hiearchy or any revival of the
old pageantry. In conclusion Mr. Osgood
says he Bhall be very glad to Reo a new
Catholic Church of the true stamp arise .
Railroad Accident.
