Bagged. We learn that on Friday morn
ing Jim Kouark, Captain of the "Sumter,"
was taken prisoner with a portion of hie crew,
while out on a foraging : expedition, south of
the city They had just been bagging a lot
of fowls and other fixings, when they were
themselves bagged. Jim was looked up in
jail for safe-keeping, while bis cook and oth
ers of bis fowl crew are in the Station oahalf
rations. ! 1 "
Great Work. Abbott's History of the
Great Rebellion its origin and progress, the
netotctleedtfof armieej.and individuals, with
maps, diagrams, steel-plate engravings, finely
engraved portraits of the President, promi
nent Generals, Statesmen, etc is now being
published in the most maguiScent style of the
art. It will be published in numbers,' and
will be sold by subscription only. Miss Mary
A. Smith is now canvassing the city for subscribers.
