Campbell Minstrels. Huston Hull was
perfectly jammed last evening by an apprecia
tive audience, who, notwithatanding the iiicle
ment weather, turned out to hear the Camp
bell Minstrels. It is pronounced, by all who
attended, to be the best Tronpo that has visi
ted I'ayton for a great while. They give their
last exhibition this evening, and all who d
sire to "laugh and grow fat," should attend.

road. The rails of this great road are now
being laid between Dayton and Cincinnati

When finished one Locomotive can take truim
cars on each road. It will he finished very
speedily and an immense amount of freight
ana passengers will pass through this city on
trains from New York and Ht. Louis.
Committed Suicide Wo are sory to
learn that Andrew Livingston, at one time
editor of the American Citizen, published at
Hillsborough Ohio, but recently, and at the
time of his death, a compositor, in the Cin
cinnati Oazette office, committed suicide in
Ciucinuali last Mouday evening, by taking
poison. lie was a young man of fine talents,
and a forcible and ready writer, but unfor
tunately, a misaulhrope. He has now volun
tarily gone to try the realities of a world, in the
existence of which he was a non-believer,

doors these morniugs, if clear, will repay the
tarlv riser. Venus, alone, makes a grand
light in the Southern heavens, where her
orescent form, extraordinarily large and
scintillant, and seemingly aa bright as the
moon, but more beautiful, eaa be seen at fuur
o'clock. Saturn is also to be seen, but he
looks, to the unassisted eye, less lustrums and
brilliant though a good glass will reveal in
that ancient plauet the most sublime and
beautiful object in the heavens.
