We have heard a great deal about the barbarity of tbe rebels in not bury ing the Federal dead which fell into their hands after the Chicamauga slaughter. A correspondent of the Louisville Journal who visited the Cold, denied the current sto ries, and declared that they had bur ed our dead as decently as their own, and that all had been buried as well as tbe nature of the case admitted. In yesterday's Commercial, however, the charge is revived by a Mr. Boyle, or Doyle, and dwelt upon with great indigna tion. Our recollection of the matter is, that Bragg, in refusing Rosecrans permission lo bury his dead, iuformed him that he had ta ken federal prisoners enough to attend to that duty, and ft may be that the fault ia theirs if "uncovered bones" are visible. We say this may possibly be the case. I We remember being told by numbers or eur friends and the fact was notorious that the field of Shiloh, (which was held by the Federals,) was spotted white with the bleaching bones of tbe fallen of both sides friends and foes. It seems to us tlint when men have slaughtered each other, barbarity has done its worst. Information Wanted. Information is wanted of William Lawkrkcc, late Paymas ter's Steward, U. S. 8. "Choctaw."
